MEAT

Minimum Essential ARES® Training (MEAT)

PPARES offers an annual training that covers the basic areas of emergency communications in the Pikes Peak area.  It is highly recommended that all PPARES communicators take this training.  MEAT training covers the following items:

  • Net protocols
  • Local repeater resources
  • Traffic handling procedures
  • Operations in public service events, exercise, incidents
  • PPARES operating procedures
  • PPARES organization structure Equipment requirements

There will be a MEAT training session in the Spring of 2009
